Frequently Asked Questions

Will the monthly meetings be available virtually?

While virtual meetings provide convenience, particularly for individuals facing transportation, time, or mobility challenges, we believe that in-person events deliver unique advantages. The informal discussions before and after presentations can often yield the most significant insights and foster connections among our members. Furthermore, many of our esteemed speakers prefer not to be recorded or broadcasted, which would significantly restrict our selection of speakers. Lastly, to honor the privacy and dignity of our patients, we maintain a strict policy against recording.

How do I become a member of the Connective Strength Board?

The Connective Strength Board is composed of five people: three Patient Advocates with EDS and two medical professional Provider Advocates. Board members are chosen by the vote of current board members and have had minimal turnover historically. When a seat on the board does become available, a call for nominations, if needed, will be publicized.
